Mechanical Sales Engineer (industrial sales of chains, sprockets, conveyors, gears)

Our client is global leader in this industry, and has partnered with many world-renown companies to provide the machine sale and solution based needs of engineered chains and sprockets, as well as material handling needs.

South East Sales Manager Role:
Sales Manager is responsible for increasing sales and developing long-lasting relationships with existing and new customers, development of distribution channels and the creation of marketing strategies in cooperation with partners and stakeholders in the business.

Position Goals and Objectives:


Increase the number of customers and grow sales for the company
Plan, develop new sales and distribution channels within the North American subsidiary
Generate sales and profit margins according to the strategic plan
Create relationships with distributors and open new distributor market channels to create product awareness and develop "pull or appealing' strategies
Ensure strong customer orientation guarantee unsurpassed and quality customer service
Provide support for various distributor channels and partners, if required
Identify all key markets indicators such as competitive ability, price, customer markets and channels
Report sales trends, growth of client base and all extraordinary occurrences to HQ
Enhance company's reputation and name recognition among customers while gaining new customers
With support and coordination from HQ:


Prepare concept plans for planning/monitoring expansions and related processes
Decide on marketing activities, implement product policies
Decide on measures to be taken in case of complaints and outstanding payments
Decide on product line, product line rationalizations, additions to product line and product line changes within given guidelines
Organize and coordinate participation in regional trade shows
At least 5-8 years prior experience in a responsible key position with an established international market leader for chains, specialty chains for industrial use. Some prior mechanical engineering, or technical aptitude on products being marketed, or engineered sales background.
Prefer candidates who already have strong national sales experience in multiple industrial engineering industries. The company's products are used in every conceivable industrial environment and mechanical products.
Strong customer interface skills and relationships created and related to this industry.
Candidate with building products background, and is "Margin Sensitive".
Must have knowledge of the marketplace and market structures.
Strong negotiation skills and hands on experience selling.
Management Functional Experience - This position has a high degree of independence, leaves scope for organizing work and provides accountability and responsibility.
Previous experience working with medium-sized to large companies.
Goals and results oriented manager, providing consistent management and a highly implementation-oriented approach, along with a sense of innovation and good common sense methods.
PLUSES:
Knowledge of SAP Business 1 is a HUGE plus
Knowledge of German language is a PLUS
