For our client in Dusseldorf we are currently looking for a Sales Manager Steering and Performance Management.

Start: ASAP (latest mid March)

Duration: 6-9 months

Location: Dusseldorf

Language: English and German

Main Responsibilities:

The post holder's responsibilities include:

- Acts as sparring partner and project manager for implementation of sales steering team

- Challenges and provides guidance to sales team along the order life cycle and sales process set-up

- Defines and implements KPI pyramid to allow for effective sales focus and translation of sales plans into actual revenues

- Implements, manages and continuously improves a closed loop cycle that provides steer and clear actions from performance dialogues

- Enables the business to set and follow up the right sales priorities and hence to increase conversion rate of opportunities into actual sales

- Ensures alignment and coordination of all sales activities by appropriate use of IT workflow support and CRM as required as well as other systems by sales force Makes sales funnel transparent ("Owner" of CRM system, configure dashboards and weekly review + analysis of sales KPIs and metrics)

- Supports business in maintaining focus on sales activities (preparation, participation in + follow up of all sales related performance dialogues)

- Ensures corrective action is taken in case of deviations from plan (specific analysis of deviations, root cause analyses)

- Acts as sales revenue planning sparring partner to define short-, mid- and long term sales targets across all customer segments and Engineering Services in Europe

- Keeps close liaison with operational departments and all related functions to push steering

- Manages a dedicated sales steering team of up to 3 team members which are based in UK and Germany

Qualification/Profile:

- Degree in Engineering or Business Administration with track record in technology or engineering related sales activities or other B2B sales activities

- Minimum of 8 years' Sales/Sales Steering ("Vertriebssteuerung") experience in international Power-, Engineering- and Service market and/or supplier market for power plant equipment

- High level assertiveness and communication skills in an international environment and the ability to effectively influence at all levels

- Strong customer and service-orientated mindset

- Excellent leadership and Human Resource skills

- Profound understanding of complex technical, financial and contractual relations of the business

- Strong conceptual and analytic skills and the ability to accurately present complex subjects.

- Strategic planning skills are an asset

- Appreciation for cultural differences and diversity

- Fluency in English required; German and other languages as plus
